Great People

The great state of North Carolina is full of kind, caring people and home to some famous ones, too! The State Library of North Carolina maintains a list of famous North Carolinians. A couple of my personal favorites are Mia Hamm and Michael Jordan.

The Mia Hamm Foundation is a non-profit, national organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for bone marrow diseases and the development of more opportunities for young women to participate in sport.

Michael Jordan is another athlete who really cares about others.
